Movu Robotics in Belgium is seeking a data engineer to own the technical chain turning field events into INSIGHTS data products. You will manage acquisition, storage, transformation, metric logic and validation, delivering reliable results to pilot sites.

You design for event time, duplicates, late or missing events and idempotency, preserve raw evidence and build versioned datasets. You will deploy on-premise and collaborate with the INSIGHTS architect to keep engineering rules aligned with use.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years hands-on data engineering or backend data roles with data ownership.
• Strong Python and SQL, good data modelling, Git, tests and CI/CD.
• Experience with event-driven or distributed data systems and live pipelines.
• Proficient in Linux and containers; able to diagnose data delivery issues.
• Able to understand a physical process and translate it into engineering rules.
• Fluent professional English; experience with IoT/edge or on-prem systems valued.

Responsabilités

• Build reliable ingestion and processing pipelines from databases, APIs and event streams.
• Design for event time, duplicates, late/missing events, idempotency and replay.
• Model and transform data into versioned, tested datasets and implement metric logic.
• Make data quality and pipeline health observable with clear limits.
• Package and deploy the data chain on on-premise infrastructure with upgrades and security.
• Collaborate with the architect and run experiments to reduce uncertainty.
• Investigate discrepancies with domain experts and support pilots with explainable results.
