Fmaservices in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced HSE Officer for the 3rd/night shift to monitor safety during intensive construction activities.

You will be field-based, supporting supervisors and contractors, intervening promptly when risks are not controlled, and coaching on safe behavior. Education: Bachelor’s in Safety Science or a technical field; 5 years of HSE in industrial construction; VCA-VOL certification preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science, Prevention, or a technical field.
Minimum 5 years HSE in industrial construction.
VCA-VOL certification or project equivalent is required.
ATEX awareness is advantageous.

Responsabilités

Conduct frequent field inspections, safety walks, and observations during the 3rd shift.
Ensure compliance with permit-to-work, LMRA, toolbox talks, TRA/JSA, and Life Saving Rules.
Monitor high-risk activities: working at heights, lifting, hot work, confined spaces, electrical.
Coach supervisors and contractors on safe behavior and correct unsafe actions.
Support incident, near-miss, and unsafe condition reporting and initial analyses.
Follow up on corrective actions and trends; report to HSE and project management.
Check housekeeping, barricading, PPE, access routes, and emergency preparedness.
Ensure clear shift handover with HSE observations and actions.
