UCB S.A. is seeking a Network Security Lead in Belgium to own the design, delivery and operation of our enterprise network security.

You will shape architecture, lead security dimensions of projects and guide external providers to maintain compliance and resilience. Based in our office in Braine, Belgium, this hybrid role requires strong technical depth and collaboration with security teams, architects and stakeholders to drive secure, compliant networks across corporate and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT/Engineering or related field.
• At least 4 years in network security engineering with a track record of technical leadership.
• Hands-on knowledge of Palo Alto Networks technologies, including SSE.
• Experience with cloud-delivered security services.
• Experience with load balancing and reverse proxy technologies.
• GxP environment experience would be a plus.
• Fluency in English; other languages a plus.

• Maintain security standards, policies and procedures for firewalling, access and segmentation, and support audits and inspections with clear evidence and documentation.
• Serve as the reference point on network security technologies and trends, guiding technical decisions together with our architects.

We are looking for a Network Security Lead who is curious, collaborative and forward-thinking to join us in our Digital Technology team, based in ouroffice in Braine, in Belgium.

About the role

You will own the design, delivery and operational security of our enterprise and manufacturing network environments. Acting as the technical authority for network security, you will make sure our environments stay secure, compliant, resilient and ready for inspection in a highly regulated pharmaceutical setting. You will shape the network security architecture, lead the security dimension of network projects, and set the direction on emerging technologies and trends. You will not be configuring systems day to day, but you will bring enough technical depth to challenge designs, anticipate end-to-end impact, and flag early when something is heading in the wrong direction.

Who you'll work with

You will be working in a team that keeps UCB's global network and security landscape running and evolving. You will partner closely with the Network Lead, security teams, architects and infrastructure colleagues to keep security and architecture aligned. You will also govern external service providers who handle day-to-day operations, holding them to our technical, quality and compliance standards. You will be a trusted point of contact for senior stakeholders, and you will step in to coordinate during major security incidents.

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 4 years of experience in network security engineering, with a track record of technical leadership
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Palo Alto Networks technologies, including Secure Service Edge (SSE)
• Practical experience with cloud-delivered security services
• Experience with load balancing and reverse proxy technologies
• Experience working in GxP environments would be a plus
• Fluency in English. Any other language would be a plus
