Virtual Connect Solutions seeks a senior IT security professional to lead the F5 AWAF infrastructure, monitor security status, and coordinate crisis response. You will implement and document security policies, perform risk analyses, and advise on securing partner connections across intranet and internet.

The role requires at least 5 years in IT security, strong technical English, and the ability to work autonomously in a Brussels-based environment with possible remote work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security and autonomous execution.
• Proven ability to intervene effectively in crisis situations and manage security incidents.
• Experience with F5 AWAF, APM, ASM and LTM is required.

Responsabilités

• Manage the F5 Security infrastructure (F5 AWAF, APM, ASM, LTM, Identity Provider, SSL VPN).
• Install, configure and manage F5 AWAF and related components.
• Develop, document and monitor security policies.
• Continuously monitor and assess IT systems' security and protection against threats.
• Respond effectively to crises (attacks, intrusions, viruses).
• Advise on secure connections with external partners via intranet and internet.
• Perform technical risk analyses for management; address vulnerabilities.

The function ensures the management, security and continuous evolution of the F5/AWAF infrastructure, as well as the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the security status of IT systems, with an effective crisis response capability.

Deliverables

• F5 / Advanced Web Application Firewall infrastructure installed, configured and managed
• Security policies developed, documented and monitored
• Technical risk analyses carried out on the various IT systems
• Solutions implemented to address identified vulnerabilities
• Recommendations on technical solutions for securing partner connections (intranet/internet)
• Technical documentation and incident/crisis reports

Main tasks

• Manage the infrastructure F5 Security: F5, Advanced Web Application Firewall
• Install, configure and manage F5 - AWAF
• Develop, document and monitor the application of security policies
• Continuously monitor and assess the state of IT systems in terms of security and protection against malicious actions
• Intervene effectively in crisis situations (organized attacks, network intrusions, virus detection, etc.)
• Advise on technical solutions for securing connections with external partners via the intranet and the internet
• Perform technical risk analyses for management purposes on the various IT systems
• Implement solutions to address potential vulnerabilities

Key Competencies

• Install, configure and manage the F5 AWAF infrastructure (APM, ASM, LTM, Identity Provider, SSL VPN)
• Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the security status of systems; Crisis management (attacks, intrusions, viruses)
• Technical risk analysis and vulnerability remediation
• Knowledge of network and application firewalls (Palo Alto, Forcepoint, Panorama) and VPN/proxy solutions
• Rigorous documentation and clear communication to teams and management

Communication and collaboration

• Written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly document their work (reports, documentation)
• Ability to work in a team; Methodical, precise and customer-oriented approach
• Bilingual preferably (French, Dutch) or sufficient basic knowledge of a second national language; Technical English essential

Level And Experience

• Expert and autonomous execution under general management (SFIA level 4 – Enable), senior technical profile
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security, autonomy and sense of initiative, ability to intervene effectively in crisis situations; explicitly not a junior

Diploma

Graduate or bachelor's degree in computer science or electronics, or equivalent by proven experience.
