Job summary

NATO Headquarters in Brussels seeks a Systems Technician to provide 2nd level support for server platforms and services within the BSU. The role involves incident management, troubleshooting, and contributing to project lifecycle during service transitions.

The successful candidate will document configurations, support security hardening, and may travel for deployments in NATO environments, with an emphasis on English proficiency and on-site work at NATO HQ Brussels.

Qualifications

Higher secondary education with at least 3 years post-related experience.
At least 1 year experience in maintaining SQL Databases.
Experience in troubleshooting under time pressure.
Experience in installing/maintaining system software and utilities.
Knowledge of virtual server and storage technologies.
Ability to document configurations, diagrams, SOPs.
Willing to deploy operations and travel within NATO boundaries.
Advanced English level (level V).

Responsibilities

Provide 2nd level support for NATO HQ Brussels server platforms and services.
Contribute to Incident and Problem Management through recovery and troubleshooting.
Assist in design, testing and implementation of projects during Service Transition.
Investigate security vulnerabilities and recommend risk mitigations.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and diagrams.
Occasionally undertake deployments and travel as required.
