E2 Drives in Wavre, Belgium, seeks an engineer for the Test & Validation team to develop bench control and UI in MATLAB/Simulink, interfacing with Speedgoat targets and dSPACE hardware.
You will design equipment specs, build plant models, and simulate conditions to support the Drive Unit technology ahead of deployment, collaborating with hardware teams.
Summary:
E2 Drives is a young engineering company active in electric mobility. E2 Drives is specialised in mechanics, electronics, electric motor design and embedded control. In recent years, they developed an innovative and disruptive powertrain for electric bikes. This patented technology offers comfort, robustness and performance to the cyclist thanks to its all-in-one and internal automatic gearbox design. E2 Drives mission is to revolutionise the way people are commuting, thanks to its disruptive eBike propulsion system. E2 Drivesconcluded a partnership with Decathlon and plans on becoming an ebike motor leader in the coming years.
E2 Drives has launched its first generation of motors in 2023 and is working on a second generation of motors to enlarge the eBike motor offer. The tech company is based in Wavre (a nice place in the South-East of Brussels) and can count on a team of 35 young, dynamic and smart professionals.
You will join the \"Test & Validation\" team to take part in the software development that runs our test benches. You will develop both the bench control and the user interface needed to operate it, using Matlab/Simulink with Speedgoat real-time target machines.
You will also take part in the architecture design and the selection of the equipment needed to control each bench, such as sensor specifications, and build plant models in Matlab/Simulink to simulate realistic conditions on the bench.
Your goal is to give our test engineers reliable, intuitive and easy-to-use tools. To do that, you will work closely with them, from the first requirements of a new bench through to its validation, long-term maintenance and implementation of new features.
