Job summary

Avertim is seeking a MES Project Manager to lead and optimize Manufacturing Execution System implementations for Life Sciences clients in a regulated environment. You will drive digital transformation on the shop floor, aligning business needs with technical solutions and compliance requirements.

Role involves managing end-to-end MES projects, coordinating IT, manufacturing, quality teams and external vendors, and ensuring adherence to GxP, CSV, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of MES project management experience in pharma, biotech, or medtech.
• Strong understanding of MES platforms and regulatory requirements (GxP, CSV).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end MES implementation projects from scoping to validation.
• Manage timelines, resources, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, FDA and EMA regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, manufacturing, quality, and external vendors.
• Act as trusted advisor to clients and bridge business and IT objectives.

Your Role as MES Project Manager

As a MES Project Manager, you will lead Manufacturing Execution System implementation and optimization projects within regulated Life Sciences environments. You will be responsible for driving digital transformation on the shop floor, ensuring alignment between business needs, technical solutions, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery

• Lead end-to-end MES implementation projects, from scoping and design to deployment and validation
• Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and stakeholder expectations
• Ensure compliance with GxP, FDA, and EMA regulations throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, manufacturing, quality, and external vendors

Client Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating operational challenges into MES solutions
• Serve as a bridge between business and IT teams, ensuring digital solutions are aligned with both strategic goals and operational realities
• Work closely with internal project teams to ensure smooth coordination and a supportive, solution-oriented environment
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing insights, exchanging knowledge, and supporting team success

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, IT, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in MES project management within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medtech industries
• Strong understanding of MES platforms (e.g., Werum PAS-X, Rockwell PharmaSuite, Siemens Opcenter)
• Familiarity with GxP, CSV, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
• Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French
• Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies is an asset
