Kono Consultants NV in Brussels seeks a Medior to Senior Functional Analyst to join our Energy Transition team. You will analyze business needs, design functional solutions, and coordinate with development partners to deliver end-to-end projects.

You will document analyses, lead testing activities, and manage application lifecycles, aligning with IT architecture and enterprise tools such as UML/BPMN modelling. Fluency in French or Dutch is required, with knowledge of the other language.

Qualifications

• 5 years+ demonstrable experience as a functional analyst.
• Proven experience designing test plans and coordinating UAT.
• Proven experience facilitating workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience in end-to-end delivery from elicitation to go-live.
• Proven experience translating business requirements into technical specs.
• Proven experience with API-based integration.
• Proven experience with cloud (AWS or Azure).
• Proven experience with mobile apps and web platforms.
• Proven experience with UML/BPMN modelling and modelling tools.

About the assignment To meet these new challenges, we want to strengthen our Energy Transition team, which has about 15 employees. Our team manages the applications used to support the energy transition (giving customers access to their energy consumption, management of energy communities, etc...) and for the management of customers in a vulnerable situation. These applications include a digital data hub, ERP system for managing vulnerable customers and mobile & web applications connected via web services. For this we are looking for a Functional Analyst who can help us in the development of the projects.

Your responsibilities

• You participate in the evolution of our applications. You analyze the needs of the business. You conduct discussions and organise workshops to explain possible solutions and reach a consensus, if necessary.
• You determine the possible solutions in line with the IT architecture, taking into account the application and technological chain E2E. You validate those solutions with the business. You are the intermediary between the business and our development partners. You document solutions and analyses in a functional design.
• You follow up on the development cycle: you will be responsible for the needs analysis and functional analysis using the implemented methods and tools, including UML and Enterprise Architect for the analysis. You check the technical solutions proposed by our partners.
• You control the quality of the development deliverables. You are responsible for the various test phases and are involved in the implementation. You keep the reference documentation.
• You coordinate, develop and execute the test plans to deliver applications whose quality meets the expectations of production.
• You are responsible for the management of the applications together with the developers.
• You evaluate, analyze and document the identified bugs and follow up on their resolution.
• You will intervene in the management of problems and provide support in the event of incidents, as a second line.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a functional analyst (5 years)
• Proven experience designing test plans, test cases and coordinating UAT
• Proven experience facilitating workshops with business and technical stakeholders
• Proven experience in E2E delivery, from requirements elicitation to testing and go-live
• Proven experience in requirement analysis
• Proven experience translating business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications
• Proven experience with API-based application integration
• Proven experience with cloud (AWS or Azure)
• Proven experience with mobile applications
• Proven experience with UML and BPMN process modelling
• Proven experience with web-based digital platforms
