In4Matic seeks a medior software developer to evolve and maintain core business applications. You will contribute backend development, architecture understanding, and database management using SQL Server and Oracle, with modern Microsoft technologies.

Role involves REST services, WCF/Web API, and TDD practices in an Agile/Scrum setting. Fluency in French is required; onsite presence 3 days per week in Belgium is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UML and BPMN model interpretation.

• Experience managing Oracle Database 19.
• Hands-on development with REST services in .NET Framework and .NET 8 or newer.

Function

Our client is looking for a medior software developer to contribute to the evolution and maintenance of core business applications. This opportunity is suited to someone who combines strong back-end development expertise with a solid understanding of application architecture, database management, and modern Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain REST-based services and application interfaces across modern and legacy .NET environments.
• Work on existing business applications, including corrective and evolutionary maintenance.
• Apply design patterns in line with architectural guidance.
• Support technical analysis, troubleshoot incidents, and help resolve complex issues efficiently.
• Contribute to high-quality code delivery that is maintainable, performant, and aligned with team standards.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and other developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Write and execute unit tests as part of the development lifecycle.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of UML and BPMN model interpretation.
• Experience with SQL Server, from version 2016 up to 2025.
• Experience managing Oracle Database 19.
• Hands-on development with REST services in .NET Framework and .NET 8 or newer.
• Experience with ASP.NET WebForms, MVC, and .NET 4.5+.
• Ability to develop in XML and JSON.
• Knowledge of W3C standards.
• Experience with WebAPI, WCF REST, WCF, and web services.
• Practical use of Azure DevOps, including Git and TFVC.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core.
• Knowledge of Redgate tools is an asset.
