Itproposal is seeking a Medior Data Engineer to develop and maintain scalable data solutions supporting AI and analytics projects. You will build reliable data pipelines, integrate diverse data sources, and contribute to a modern data platform.

Key responsibilities include designing scalable ETL processes, building data flows with Python/Java/Scala, and working with Databricks, Spark/PySpark, and data lake technologies. Remote work is possible in a hybrid Belgium setup.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong experience with Databricks and ETL development.
• Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with databases and data integration.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake or Delta Lake.
• Experience with dbt and Databricks-based ETL tools.
• Experience with REST APIs and external data sources.
• Knowledge of Terraform or Pulumi is an advantage.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Dutch: CEFR C2/native-level proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Build data flows using Python, Java, or Scala.
• Work with Databricks, Spark/PySpark, and data lake technologies.
• Connect databases, APIs, and other data sources to the AI & Analytics platform.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and optimize data processing solutions using standardized components.
• Contribute to DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Work collaboratively in Agile, multidisciplinary teams to validate new data and AI technologies.
