Crunch Analytics is seeking a Medior Data Engineer to design and build the data layer that clients rely on, integrating ERPs, WMS, and planning tools into a governed lakehouse. You will own your platform slice end to end and mentor juniors as part of a collaborative data team.

You’ll work across Azure and Databricks, develop robust ELT pipelines with dbt and SQL, and assist clients with architecture decisions while ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of hands‑on experience building data pipelines or platforms.
• Strong command of SQL and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework.
• Experience with a modern cloud data platform (Databricks, Azure data services, or comparable).
• Solid grasp of data modeling, and opinions on when a star schema is the answer and when it isn't.
• The ability to explain a technical choice to someone who has never heard of a lakehouse.
• You are fluent in English.

Responsabilités

• Design and build data platforms on Azure and Databricks, from architecture to go‑live.
• Build clean, tested ELT pipelines with dbt, SQL, and Python.
• Integrate the systems where the real data lives: ERPs, WMS, planning and forecasting tools, e‑commerce platforms.
• Design data models that serve dashboards, data science, and conversational AI alike.
• Keep platforms reliable, monitored, and cost‑efficient. Cloud bills are part of the design, not a surprise.
• Coach our junior engineers through pairing and code review that actually teaches.
• Work side by side with our data scientists, BI developers, and AI engineers so the full chain delivers.
• Advise clients on architecture choices, and push back when the easy option is the wrong one.
