AETHER is seeking a medior Customer Contract consultant to reinforce our Belgium-based project team. You will support customer connection-study files through coordination, documentation, data-quality checks and administrative follow-up under the guidance of the service owner.

The role requires a technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent, fluency in Dutch and French with professional English, strong coordination skills, and a deadline-driven approach.

AETHER is a key partner for intrapreneurial projects in Belgium, and we want to reinforce our support of key actors in the energy sector, who are facing interesting challenges regarding the reliable handling of customer connection requests.

New projects are therefore ongoing to ensure that connection studies can progress on time with complete information and consistent documentation.

Hence why we are looking for a medior Customer Contract consultant to strengthen our team of Project Partners.

TASK DESCRIPTION:

As an AETHER Project Partner embedded within the project team, your objective will be to provide technical and operational support for customer connection-study files through coordination, documentation, data-quality checks and administrative follow-up, under the guidance of the responsible service owner.

Key responsibilities might include:

• Register, structure and update customer connection-study files in the relevant operational tools.
• Verify the completeness of technical, customer and project information needed to start or continue connection studies.
• Coordinate missing inputs, actions and deliverables with stakeholders responsible for grid development, infrastructure, key accounts and other contributing functions.
• Monitor milestones, dependencies and deadlines, and report risks, delays or missing information to the service owner.
• Prepare and maintain draft offers, connection-contract documentation, technical annexes and compliance-related files using validated templates and inputs.
• Perform first-level checks on data quality, document consistency and technical completeness before escalation or internal validation.
• Ensure proper version control, traceability and document storage in line with the organisation's processes.
• Support operational customer communication by preparing factual status updates, requests for missing information and documented follow-up, always aligned with the relevant internal contact.
• Identify recurring bottlenecks, data-quality issues and opportunities to improve, standardise and automate processes.

Accountability for customer relationships, strategic decisions, final technical validation and regulatory matters remains with the responsible internal roles. The contractor provides technical and operational support, prepares documentation and performs first-level checks to enable efficient and reliable internal follow-up.

PROFILE:

• Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in industrial engineering, electromechanics, electricity, energy technology, business engineering or a related field.
• Clear communication in Dutch and French, with professional English.
• Relevant experience in technical coordination, customer operations, contract or document management, engineering support, energy operations or regulated operational processes.
• Ability to understand technical information and identify missing, inconsistent or unclear data.
• Structured, accurate and disciplined working style, with close attention to deadlines and document quality.
• Ability to coordinate stakeholders and keep files progressing in a complex technical and operational environment.
• Customer-oriented communication, while respecting internal responsibilities for decisions and customer relationships.
• Confidence using digital tools and contributing to better data quality, process efficiency and standardisation.
• Availability for a full-time assignment from 23 November 2026 to 31 December 2027.
• Willingness to work in Brussels, with on-site presence governed by the client's remote-work policy.
• An entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus, including extra-professional or extra-academic initiatives.
• Fast availability is preferred.
• Valid single permit for non-EU citizens, with authorisation to work in Belgium and a valid residence permit confirming the right to reside in Belgium.
