MSL Engineering Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Piping Superintendent to lead piping construction activities across Mainland Europe. You will report to the Construction Manager/Lead Engineer and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery of packages.

The role requires 3–5 years of construction engineering or supervision experience, strong piping isometrics, P&IDs knowledge, and hands-on Navisworks use.

Qualifications

• Reporting to Construction Manager/Lead Engineer
• Involvement in safety, construction, quality and commercial issues
• Development of piping and equipment construction work packs
• Sign off piping test packs for pre-test, pressure test and post-test
• Recording of field welds for weld histories for inclusion within piping test packs
• Onsite coordination between Mechanical and other Disciplines
• Responsible for engineering in a defined area of construction
• Resolving engineering queries in the field
• Work with piping supervisor to progress construction in their area
• Weekly progress reporting of their specific area
• Weekly variation reporting to cost engineer
• Familiarise with scope of MSL contract to monitor potential variations
• Ensure equipment is installed correctly within their area
• Use Navisworks 3D model for technical backup
• Material and spools on site to follow the project schedule
• Working with QA lead to hand over piping systems on schedule
• Excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs

Responsabilités

• Record field welds for weld histories for piping test packs.
• Coordinate onsite between Mechanical and other disciplines.
• Be responsible for all engineering in a defined construction area.
• Resolve field engineering queries promptly.
• Collaborate with the MSL piping supervisor to progress construction.
• Provide weekly progress reports for the area and assist with variation reporting.
• Monitor potential variations as per contract scope and coordinate with Cost engineer.
• Ensure correct equipment installation within area.
• Utilize Navisworks 3D models for technical backing.
• Ensure availability of materials, spools and supports on site to meet schedule.
• Assist QA in handover of piping systems to client on schedule.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs.

Requirements

• You will report directly to the Construction Manager/Lead Engineer
• Involvement in some or all the following aspects of Mechanical Contracting -Safety, Construction, Quality and Commercial Issues.
• Development of piping and equipment construction work packs
• Sign off piping test packs for pre-test. Pressure test and post-test activities
• Recording of field welds for weld histories for inclusion within piping test packs
• Onsite co-ordination between Mechanical and other Disciplines
• Responsible for all engineering in a defined area of construction
• Resolving engineering queries in the field
• Work with MSL piping supervisor to progress construction in their area
• Weekly Progress reporting of their specific area
• Weekly Variation reporting (Gathering this info from the area supervisor to give it to MSL Cost engineer)
• Familiarise with scope of MSL contract to monitor possible our potential variation work on site
• Ensure equipment is installed correctly within their area
• Use of Navisworks 3D model to provide all necessary technical back up to their area piping supervisor
• Ensuring all material, fabricated pipe spools and supports is on site are required for their area to follow the project schedule
• Working with MSL QA lead to ensure piping systems within their area is handed over to client on schedule
• Excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs is essential
• Min 3-5 years' experience in construction engineering or trade supervisor role
