Job summary

ALTEN Belgium is seeking a VIE Mechanical Design Engineer in the Liège region to contribute to the design and development of complex mechanical systems. You will participate throughout the product lifecycle from concept through manufacturing and assembly, using CATIA V5 and GD&T.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of mechanical design experience, with exposure to high-precision engineering environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Development.
• 3+ years in a mechanical design office (incl. apprenticeships, internships).
• Experience in aerospace/space/defense/energy/high-precision sectors.
• Experience designing parts and assemblies from concept to released drawings.
• Daily use of CATIA V5 for mechanical design.
• Solid GD&T knowledge and tolerance analyses.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies in 3D/2D using CATIA V5.
• Perform pre-sizing calculations and tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Produce technical drawings with full GD&T requirements.
• Select materials and manufacturing processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
