Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is engaged with an international engineering organisation recruiting a permanent Senior Precision Mechanical Engineer to join the Limburg area team. The role focuses on high-precision mechanical design for custom-engineered projects, with ownership from concept through to a fully tested system.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in mechanical engineering or precision mechanics, has several years of experience in precision design, strong 3D CAD skills and a hands-on approach

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Several years' experience in precision mechanical design.
• Strong 3D CAD experience and ability to create detailed drawings.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and tolerances.
• Hands-on mentality with willingness to see designs built and tested.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-precision mechanical components and systems.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing documentation.
• Select materials and manufacturing methods for precision applications.
• Own projects from concept to fully functioning systems.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure designs meet quality, cost, performance and delivery targets.

Job description

We are working with an employer who are looking for a permanent Senior Precision Mechanical Engineer to join an international engineering organisation in the Limburg area. The employer is looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in precision mechanical design,. ideally within a high-tech or custom-engineered environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and developing high-precision mechanical components, mechanisms and systems
• Creating detailed 3D CAD models, technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Selecting appropriate materials, components and manufacturing methods for precision applications
• Taking ownership of projects from initial concept through to a fully functioning system
• Providing technical guidance and knowledge-sharing to junior engineers and designers
• Ensuring designs meet requirements for quality, cost, performance and delivery

About you

• A degree in mechanical engineering, precision mechanics or a related technical discipline
• Several years of experience in precision mechanical design or mechanical engineering
• Strong experience with 3D CAD and the creation of detailed technical drawings
• A good understanding of mechanical components, materials, manufacturing processes and tolerances
• A hands-on mentality and an interest in seeing your designs built, tested and optimised
