Televic Healthcare in Belgium is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative team. You will lead mechanical design of plastic enclosures and mechanisms, owning from concept through prototyping and industrialization.

You will collaborate with product management, hardware, and customers, deliver designs optimized for cost and manufacturability, run qualification tests, and use Siemens NX and Teamcenter to manage data across the development cycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical design engineering, with strong expertise in plastic / injection-m moulded design.
• Proven experience in Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Strong understanding of product design and development, optimizing for cost, quality and manufacturability.
• Experience with production tooling and automation/test systems (incl. test robots).
• A strong communicator with a feel for industrial design, comfortable working with hardware colleagues, product management and customers.
• A passion for design, engineering and innovation, and enthusiasm to learn and grow.

Responsabilités

• Mechanical design: Develop high-quality, innovative enclosures and mechanisms, primarily in plastic (injection moulding).
• Design for aesthetics & user experience: Maintain and advance distinctive product look, balancing performance, quality, cost and appearance.
• Customer- and product-driven design: Translate user needs with product management and customers into optimal solutions.
• Product development & validation: Own the full cycle: design, prototyping, industrialization; define and run mechanical qualification tests (drop/shock, IP, chemical/disinfectant resistance, endurance).
• Design for Manufacturing and Testing: Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and testability.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with teams across business units to integrate requirements and drive quality & innovation.
• Siemens NX & Teamcenter: Deliver precise designs and manage design data for seamless collaboration.

Televic Healthcare develops, manufactures and markets nurse call systems for hospitals and nursing homes internationally. Key responsibilities

• Mechanical design: Develop high-quality, innovative enclosures and mechanisms, primarily in plastic (injection moulding), including LEDs and light guides behind plastic, icons/graphics on plastic surfaces, and audio chambers.
• Design for aesthetics & user experience: Maintain and advance our distinctive product look, balancing performance, quality, cost and appearance.
• Customer- and product-driven design: Think together with product management and customers to translate user needs into the best possible solutions.
• Product development & validation: Own the full cycle: design, prototyping, industrialization; and define and run mechanical qualification tests (drop/shock, ingress protection, chemical/disinfectant resistance, endurance).
• Design for Manufacturing and Testing: Ensure that product designs are optimized for manufacturability and testability throughout the development process.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with teams across business units to integrate requirements, assist in objective problem solving and drive quality & innovation.
• Siemens NX & Teamcenter: Deliver precise designs and manage design data for seamless collaboration.

Required skills and experience
