EXMAR Group in Antwerp is seeking a Marine Superintendent to reinforce the Shipmanagement Shipping team at HQ. You will ensure SMS compliance, lead the shore and on-board teams, and drive HSEQ and regulatory adherence across the fleet.

The role requires a Master’s in Nautical Sciences with STCW Management level and at least 3 years in a management position on board, along with strong knowledge of navigation, cargo operations, and IMO regulations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nautical Sciences with STCW Management level.
• Minimum 3 years in a management position on board.
• Excellent knowledge in navigation and cargo operations.
• Good knowledge of IMO regulations and industry standards (OCIMF/CDI).
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsabilités

• Ensure SMS and regulatory compliance across shore and on board.
• Lead operational people management and develop the team.
• Provide functional HSEQ direction across the organization.
• Coordinate inspections and support terminal acceptance.
• Support third party inspections and close deficiencies.
• Drive audits, certifications, and internal navigational audits.
• Embed HSEQ, risk management and emergency readiness in daily ops.
• Act as emergency duty manager and participate in fleet emergency response.
