DSM-FIRMENICH in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve seeks an Associate Manager, Expert SHE&S to lead complex SHE topics and foster a proactive risk-based safety culture across the site. You will partner with operations, engineering, and site leadership to ensure risk management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

This role offers an excellent path to becoming a recognized SHE expert with opportunities to grow into future leadership within DSM-FIRMENICH.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Safety, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
• Prevention Advisor Level 1, or Level 2 with commitment to obtain Level 1 certification.
• Experience in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Fluency in English and French.

Responsabilités

• Lead risk assessments such as HAZOP, PHA and MOC.
• Provide expertise on occupational health, industrial hygiene, ergonomics and process safety.
• Support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
• Contribute to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Assist CPPT through technical expertise, risk assessments and follow-up of actions.
• Support audits, inspections and compliance programs.
• Coach managers and teams on technical SHE matters.
