Melexis in Ypres, Belgium is seeking a Health Safety Environment Advisor to uphold our commitments to environmental responsibility and occupational safety at our facility. You will collaborate with the global ESG team and local management to design and implement EHS strategies that protect personnel and the environment, while ensuring compliance with Belgian welfare regulations.

Qualifications

• Certified Prevention Advisor Level 2 required.
• Certified Environmental Coordinator Type B preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in an EHS role.

Responsabilités

• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and investigations; propose preventive measures.
• Advise on safety of machinery, equipment, and processes (three-key procurement).
• Maintain safety policies and plan governance per Belgian welfare rules.
• Contribute to CPBW/CPPT meetings as needed.
• Promote a proactive safety culture via training and toolbox talks.
• Manage environmental permits and documents; ensure VLAREM II compliance.
• Monitor environmental metrics and report to the ESG team.
• Coordinate ISO 14001 certification and internal audits.
• Support ESG goals and decarbonization roadmaps.
• Coordinate with external authorities and auditors.
