Start People is helping to place a Junior Maintenance Technician / Electromechanics in a modern Belgian manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes training and hands-on development in maintenance for production lines.

During the first year, you’ll work in a two-shift system, with a future expectation to cover night shifts. You will operate in a safety-conscious, team-based setting while gaining practical skills in PLCs, sensors, actuators, and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• Technical education in Electromechanics or related field.
• Basic understanding of mechatronics and PLC systems, sensors, actuators, electricity, mechanics and pneumatics.
• Willingness to learn through hands-on training.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure smooth production operations.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and support continuous improvements.
• Adapt to two-shift system during training and later night shifts as part of production schedule.

Our client is looking for Junior Maintenance Technicians / Electromechanics who have a technical education and are motivated to develop their skills through comprehensive on-the-job training.

Without reliable maintenance, there is no quality! As a Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure the smooth operation of production by performing preventive maintenance, identifying technical issues, and supporting continuous improvements.

During approximately the first year, you will work in a two-shift system (early and late shifts) while completing your training. After your training period, you must be willing to work night shifts as part of the regular production schedule.

Profile

We are primarily looking for candidates who:

• Have a technical education in Electromechanics, or a related technical field (Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, technical secondary education, or equivalent).
• Have a basic understanding of mechatronics, including fundamentals of PLC systems, sensors, actuators, electricity, mechanics and pneumatics.
• Are motivated to learn and develop through practical training in the workplace.
• Have a hands‑on mentality and enjoy solving technical problems.
• Work accurately and pay attention to safety.
• Enjoy working in a team and communicate well with colleagues.
• Have a communicative knowledge of Dutch or English.

Salary depending on experience: €3,100 - €3,800 gross/month. Shift allowance: €1.16/hour (early shift) / €2.19/hour (afternoon shift).
