What you will do
You will join the IT department of a Belgian water utility company to work on strategic projects involving document management, digital transformation, business process automation and enterprise content governance. Your focus will be on Microsoft 365 platforms, particularly SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Microsoft Purview and SharePoint Premium.
Your responsibilities include:
- Define and maintain the target SharePoint architecture in line with enterprise standards, business needs and document governance requirements
- Design and deploy document architectures suited to large volumes, integrating SharePoint with other technologies where necessary
- Define, review and implement metadata models, taxonomies, content types and classification rules
- Implement document governance strategies, records management, archiving and retention policies
- Design and deploy automated business workflows using Power Automate and Microsoft 365 services
- Prepare and supervise migrations to Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, working with the document management project manager
- Set up OCR solutions to automatically extract content from scanned documents, images and forms
- Use SharePoint Premium or other solutions to automate classification, metadata extraction and content enrichment
- Design intelligent document processing models to automatically identify, classify and extract key information
- Automate document processes to reduce manual intervention
- Apply security, compliance and confidentiality requirements to digital content
- Contribute to implementing Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Purview governance policies
- Ensure the quality, consistency and maintainability of deployed solutions
- Support users in adopting best practices for document management and digital collaboration
- Maintain continuous awareness of developments in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, AI, content services and information management
- Respect GDPR, ISO27001 and NIS2 requirements throughout your assignment
What we are looking for
You have proven experience working with large-scale document environments, ranging from several hundred thousand to several million documents. You bring advanced expertise in document classification, workflow automation, OCR and AI-based automatic metadata enrichment.
Required skills and experience:
- Expert-level knowledge of M365 SharePoint
- Expert-level knowledge of large-scale repository design and information architecture with SharePoint and M365
- Expert-level knowledge of complex document management migrations
- Expert-level knowledge of document and archive management concepts such as ingestion room and retention strategies
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure Platform (integrations, Blob Storage, Logic App, Key Vault, retention strategies)
- Expert-level knowledge of migration tools such as SPMT, Microsoft migration manager and ShareGate
- Expert-level knowledge of MS Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Expert-level knowledge of OCR, content processing and metadata enrichment in SharePoint environments
- Expert-level knowledge of PnP provisioning and scripting
- Expert-level knowledge of SharePoint REST API, Graph API and OData
- Expert-level knowledge of NIS2, ISO27001, GDPR and regulated document management
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 Platform (Teams, OneDrive, Purview, Search, Entra ID)
- Advanced knowledge of Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN)
- Advanced knowledge of electronic signature
- Advanced knowledge of PRINCE2
- Advanced knowledge of project management (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum)
- Intermediate knowledge of test management
- Full professional proficiency in Dutch, English and French
The setting
This assignment runs for 24 months and starts as soon as possible. You will work hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week on-site in Brussels. These on-site days may be non-consecutive. You will work full-time during office hours (Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 19:00), and any work outside these hours requires express authorisation. You will need to coordinate holiday planning in advance to ensure service continuity.
