Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Project Manager to join a global logistics operations function, supporting the delivery of strategic projects across logistics and supply chain.
The role will lead and coordinate key projects from initiation through to implementation, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, technology, data, process and change management.
A key focus of the role will be the digitalisation and optimisation of logistics processes, including the implementation of a new digital solution to manage shipping requests currently handled outside of core ERP systems. The project is designed to improve process efficiency, reduce errors, strengthen compliance and create greater operational visibility.
The successful candidate may also support other large-scale strategic projects across the organisation, depending on business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead project execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring projects remain on track against agreed scope, timelines and objectives.
- Proactively identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating where appropriate.
- Coordinate project activities across process, systems, data and change management.
- Ensure project deliverables align with broader logistics and supply chain standards.
- Manage project governance, reporting and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Define and monitor project KPIs, quality measures and performance indicators.
- Conduct project reviews and gather stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support transition activities, ensuring successful handover into business-as-usual operations or the next stage of the project.
- Capture and share lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Scope & Requirements Management
- Ensure project scope is clearly defined, documented and controlled.
- Translate business and operational requirements into structured functional requirements and project deliverables.
- Manage changes to scope and assess their potential impact on timelines, resources and delivery.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, solutions, testing and implementation
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management
- Act as a key interface between logistics operations, IT/digital teams and external partners.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment around priorities, constraints and delivery plans.
- Facilitate workshops, working sessions and design reviews.
- Ensure operational requirements and practical business needs are reflected in digital solutions.
Systems, Testing & Deployment
- Coordinate system configuration, development and integration activities.
- Plan and coordinate functional, process and user acceptance testing.
- Drive resolution of project issues and ensure appropriate risk mitigation.
- Support go-live planning, user training, hypercare and transition to operational support teams.
Change Management & Adoption
- Identify and assess the operational impact of project changes.
- Coordinate training, documentation and communication activities.
- Support business teams throughout implementation and adoption.
- Help ensure new processes and digital solutions are embedded effectively within the organisation.
Process & Best Practice
- Promote effective project management practices across the organisation.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and share lessons learned, challenges and solutions.
- Support the development and sharing of project management knowledge and best practices.
- Provide guidance or training to colleagues on project management methodologies where required
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Project Management certification or formal project management training is desirable.
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in logistics management, supply chain in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in pharma or healthcare logistics is an absolute must!
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects within logistics or supply chain operations.
- Fluent in French and English
- Experience with process improvement and/or Lean methodologies is desirable.
- Experience working with digital transformation or technology-enabled process improvement projects would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, terminology and operational flows.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, governance, risk management and delivery.
- Ability to take ambiguous or complex business challenges and structure them into clear actions and deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate operational requirements into digital or functional requirements.
- Comfortable working between strategic objectives and detailed operational requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
