Fluxys is an international energy infrastructure group with 1,300 employees active in gas transmission, storage and LNG terminalling. The LNG terminal in Zeebrugge serves North-West Europe and connects to the UK, Netherlands and beyond.

As a Plant Operator you ensure safe, efficient operation of LNG storage, regasification and transhipment installations, report to the Shift Supervisor, and work closely with maintenance teams in a continuous shift environment.

Qualifications

• A secondary school diploma in (electro)mechanics/electricity or equivalent experience.
• Preferably work experience in a process or energy environment.
• The ability to strictly follow procedures.
• A critical eye for questioning and optimising matters.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, independent decisions in crisis situations.
• A strong team spirit and sense of responsibility.
• A keen desire to learn and motivation to develop yourself further.
• Very good knowledge of Dutch and good knowledge of English.

Responsabilités

• Start and stop machines such as pumps and compressors per dispatch programme.
• Secure equipment following existing instructions and procedures.
• Perform manipulations, tests and checks during LNG loading/unloading on jetty and ship.
• Supervise installations and carry out safety rounds.
• Report to Shift Supervisor or Panel Operator.
• Assist with loading LNG trucks.
• Follow SEVESO procedures and instructions.
• Be part of the safety intervention team.
• Develop proposals to optimise operational processes and submit to the Shift Supervisor.
• Perform minor control, inspection and maintenance work.
