Job summary

Approach Cyber in Belgium seeks a Linux System Engineer to combine technical support, delivery, infrastructure operations, consultancy and automation. You will join a small, skilled team supporting organisations, resellers and customers with the AXS Guard security appliance.

Responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, training, security audits and documentation, plus scripting to streamline tasks. Fluent Dutch/French/English and a B driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of networks and cybersecurity, including TCP/IP, VPNs and cryptography.
• Extensive knowledge of Linux command line and tools; HA technologies like Rsync/Heartbeat.

Responsibilities

• Support & delivery: Install and administer the AXS Guard security appliance for internal teams, resellers and customers.
• Hardware & logistics: Assemble, test, ship, install and replace firewalls; create test environments.
• Consultancy & training: Advise customers on cybersecurity and train resellers post onboarding.
• Operations & automation: Monitor networks, manage patches, automate repetitive tasks via scripts.
• Internal IT support: Assist internal IT with Linux/macOS administration.
• Documentation & ticket follow-up: Update tickets and maintain technical docs.
