Position SummaryOur Brussels office offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and receive training at an international law firm through our trainee program. By collaborating closely with associates and partners, you will be involved in advising clients on a broad spectrum of EU competition law matters, including antitrust and merger control investigations conducted by the European Commission, litigation before the EU Courts and other EU regulatory issues, such as State aid, trade, Digital Markets Act and the Digital Service Act.Our trainee program runs for twelve months, with the next intakes scheduled for March and September 2027.Trainees work on a full-time basis, and many are subsequently offered the opportunity to continue with the firms as associates.If you are ambitious, hardworking, independent, creative and detail-oriented, this is a unique opportunity to engage in complex international matters and become a valued member of our dynamic team.QualificationsCandidates interested in a position as Legal Trainee:Must have completed their academic qualifications, including modules on EU or Competition (Antitrust) law. Completion of an LL.M. at a university in the UK or US is an asset.Hold an European Bar qualification or be on track to qualify within one year.Should have at least one year of experience, such as a traineeship at the European Commission, a traineeship at an international law firm, or a junior associate position at a national law firm.Need to be outgoing and resilient, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of dedication to the role.Must be fluent in English.
