FSMA in Brussels is seeking a legal advisor to join the department that supervises asset management, savings products and bank investment products. You will contribute to maintaining high standards of oversight and protect consumers.

The role involves evaluating business models, reviewing regulatory reports, and assisting inspections alongside economists and inspectors. A permanent full-time contract and strong development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law (required).
• Preferably 3+ years' experience in the financial sector.
• Understanding of asset management and related regulatory frameworks is a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities with clear written and oral communication.
• Interest in public-interest work and compliance with conduct of business rules.

Responsabilités

• Process applications for authorization and supervise ongoing activities of regulated entities.
• Assess business models and organizational structures and review quantitative reporting.
• Conduct thorough legal analysis based on applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with inspectors and other FSMA departments on inspections and outcomes.
• Liaise with colleagues supervising funds and compliance to ensure consistency.
