Octiva is seeking an Experienced Robot Software Engineer to design, build, and scale automation in Controlled Environment Agriculture across Europe. You’ll own core software components, mentor juniors, and guide architectural decisions while collaborating with software, mechanics, electronics, and vision teams.

You’ll contribute to robust, real-time robotic systems, and help deploy reliable solutions in greenhouses, emphasizing maintainability and scalability across international projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering Sciences, or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in robotics software development or embedded systems.
• Strong C++ skills; working knowledge of Python and Git workflows.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD tools (Docker, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with system integration and performance debugging.
• Familiarity with ROS, IoT, or vision systems is a strong plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
