Editx is seeking a Lead Network Engineer in Belgium to own and evolve the network infrastructure. You will stay hands-on with Fortinet technologies while guiding a growing IT team and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable networks.

The role focuses on Fortinet FortiGate/FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer, VPN, and SD-WAN, with opportunities to work with Palo Alto systems as needed. You will drive security and performance improvements across the environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Fortinet networking experience is essential.
• Proven ability to lead a network/IT team.
• Strong skills in network design and secure architecture.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of the network infrastructure, designing, configuring and maintaining secure environments with Fortinet focus.
• Lead and support the network/IT team, providing technical guidance and prioritizing activities.
• Manage and optimize FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN, and SD-WAN while coordinating with Palo Alto technologies when required.
• Drive network security initiatives including firewall management, segmentation and incident response.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, monitor performance and ensure reliability and continuous improvement.

Our partner is an international technology company is looking for a Network Engineer with a Team Lead mindset to take ownership of the network environment while guiding and supporting a team of IT professionals.

This is not a purely managerial position: you will remain hands-on with the technology, with a strong focus on Fortinet, while taking a leading role within the team.

Lead Network Engineer - The Job

• Take ownership of the network infrastructure, designing, configuring and maintaining secure and highly available environments, with a strong focus on Fortinet technologies.
• Lead and support the network/IT team, providing technical guidance, prioritizing activities and helping team members grow their expertise.
• Manage and optimize FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN, SD-WAN and security policies, while working with Palo Alto technologies where required.
• Drive network security initiatives, including firewall management, segmentation, IDS/IPS, vulnerability assessments and incident response.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, monitor performance and ensure reliability, availability and continuous improvement of the infrastructure.
• Coordinate projects, vendors and internal stakeholders, while maintaining clear technical documentation and ensuring successful delivery.
