Job summary

Materialise is seeking an IT Security Engineer in its Staff department to define and protect our global security infrastructure. You will drive a long-term security strategy, implement secure designs, and coordinate with IT teams worldwide to meet business needs.

The role emphasizes leadership, project management, and a security-first approach across cloud, endpoint protection, and incident response. English fluency is required, and experience with governance and compliance is valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, Information Security or equivalent by experience.
• 5-10 years of experience in a strong security environment; relevant security certifications are an added value.
• Fluent in English and a strong negotiator.

Responsibilities

• Provide ownership for our Network and Security infrastructure.
• Guide the implementation of security measures in different areas.
• Enforce governance, provide support and operational escalation for the production security environment.
• Be point of contact for all security related issues.
• Translate regulatory compliance requirements into implementation actions.
• Design a secure framework in which the business is allowed to navigate in.
• Train/coach junior security engineers.
• Manage and coordinate critical incidents.
• Design strategic view on a secure network environment.
