Job summary

Materialise is seeking an IT Security Engineer to define long-term security strategy and design, supporting Materialise business and guarding production environments. You will work with global IT infrastructure, application and development teams to implement secure infrastructure and testing practices.

You will drive security initiatives, coach junior engineers, and collaborate with management to set direction and adopt new networking/security technologies aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, Information Security or equivalent by experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in a strong security environment; relevant security certifications are a plus.
• High level cybersecurity skills (network and infrastructure level) and endpoint protection.
• Strong leadership and excellent project management skills.
• Fluent in English; strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide ownership for our Network and Security infrastructure.
• Guide the implementation of security measures in different areas.
• Enforce governance, provide support and operational escalation for the production security environment.
• Be point of contact for all security related issues.
• Translate regulatory compliance requirements into implementation actions.
• Design a secure framework in which the business is allowed to navigate in.
• Train/coach junior security engineers.
• Manage and coordinate critical incidents.
• Design strategic view on a secure network environment.
