Wlgroup in Belgium is seeking a senior technical lead to own the quality of a team’s output across a portfolio of commercial applications. The role requires remaining hands-on 20–40% of the time to stay credible and unblock the team, with a mix of Windows/Linux server apps, .NET, Java, SQL Server behind IIS, and growing cloud work in Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in technical delivery with at least one year leading a team.
• Strong hands-on depth in .NET, Java or Python, cloud, containers and Kubernetes, CI/CD, SQL and NoSQL, IaC.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2019+ and IIS-based web applications.
• Good knowledge of cloud deployment on AWS and Azure; PKI and networking.
• At least four of HTML5, REST and web services, XML, HTTP, SQL and VBA; identity integration with OAuth, OIDC or SAML2.
• Experience with IIS, JBoss or Apache Tomcat and .NET applications.
• Practical ITIL-based service management: incident, problem, change, release.
• Demonstrated people leadership and coaching; strong communication in English, French an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate, deploy and manage server applications on Windows and Linux.
• Own the technical quality of the team's output and stay hands-on.
• Manage identity groups and roles; configure cloud components on Azure and AWS.
• Support the integration of AI capability into the commercial application portfolio.
• Coordinate support against SLAs and resolve complex issues yourself.
• Run incident logging and tracking; elevate to vendors when needed.
• Build the knowledge base; document what broke and what fixed it.
• Implement security baselines and architecture patterns; provide compliance evidence.
• Support change, configuration, release and test management.
• Work with product owners, delivery managers and suppliers; translate constraints into business language.
