Wlgroup in Belgium seeks a senior engineering lead who remains hands-on while guiding a team across a portfolio of commercial applications. You will own the technical quality, manage identity and cloud components, and help integrate AI capabilities.

The role covers Windows/Linux servers, .NET/Java/Python stacks, SQL Server behind IIS, and cloud work on AWS/Azure. You will balance architecture governance with practical delivery, reporting to product owners and vendors.

Qualifications

• At least five years in technical delivery, including leading a team.
• Strong hands-on depth in a modern stack (.NET, Java or Python), cloud, containers, CI/CD, SQL/NoSQL, and infrastructure as code.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2019 onwards and IIS-based web apps.
• Good knowledge of cloud deployment on both AWS and Azure, PKI and networking.
• Experience with identity integration using OAuth, OIDC or SAML2.
• Experience with IIS, JBoss or Tomcat and .NET apps.
• Practical ITIL-based service management: incident, problem, change, release.
• Proven people leadership with coaching and feedback.
• Full proficiency in English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate, deploy and manage server applications on Windows and Linux.
• Own the technical quality of the team's output, with hands-on involvement.
• Manage identity groups and roles, and configure Azure/AWS components.
• Support AI capability integration into the commercial applications portfolio.
• Coordinate support against SLAs and resolve complex issues personally.
• Run incident logging and escalate to vendors when needed.
• Build and maintain the knowledge base: document issues and fixes.
• Implement security baselines and architecture patterns per governance.
• Support change, configuration, release and test management.
• Collaborate with product owners, delivery managers and suppliers translating tech constraints into business language.
