Challenge Group is seeking a Liège-based LCC Junior Officer to strengthen our cargo team. The role focuses on cargo availability, preparation, and readiness for turnaround activities, ensuring efficient load planning per the airline's weight and balance manuals.

You will serve as the contact for cargo inquiries and coordinate with Commercial, Ops, OCC, MCC, and CHH teams, escalating when needed. You will verify safety and quality in compliance with regulations and support performance monitoring,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or foreign trade.
• Previous experience in the air cargo industry is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with logistics teams, GSAs, and handling agents to ensure timely cargo arrival and flight prep.
• Monitor cargo operations, including build-up, docs, customs, security, and truck coordination.
• Maximize payload and flight capacity utilization.
• Identify operational challenges and escalate when SLAs or targets are at risk.
• Support flight performance monitoring with reporting and KPI tracking.
• Collaborate with commercial, operations and ground teams to meet airline objectives.
• Supervise turnaround activities and support special operations when needed.
• Maintain high standards of operational excellence and on-time performance.

We are looking for a LCC Junior officer to strengthen our team based in Liège.

Job Purpose

The LCC Junior Officer oversees cargo availability, preparation, and readiness for turnaround activities, ensuring efficient load planning per the airline's weight and balance manuals.

Serving as the point of contact for cargo-related inquiries, she/he coordinates with Commercial, Ops, OCC, MCC, and CHH teams, managing escalations when necessary.

Additionally, she/he acts as the airline's representative to verify safety and quality in compliance with legal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with logistics teams, GSAs, and handling agents to ensure timely cargo arrival and efficient flight preparation
• Monitoring cargo handling operations, including build-up progress, documentation, customs, security, and truck coordination
• Ensuring optimal flight capacity utilization by maximizing payload and volume
• Identifying operational challenges, providing solutions, and escalating issues when service level agreements (SLAs) or operational targets are at risk
• Supporting flight performance monitoring through reporting, KPI tracking, and data accuracy control
• Collaborating with commercial, operational, and ground handling teams to ensure service quality and achievement of airline objectives
• Supervising turnaround activities and supporting special operations when required
• Maintaining high standards of operational excellence, quality of build-up, and on-time performance (OTP)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or foreign trade

Experience

• Previous experience in the air cargo industry is considered an advantage
