Job summary

Air Products in Meise seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to lead the QC laboratory, plan daily QC activities, and ensure analyses meet GMP and QA standards.

You will coordinate tests, supervise staff, develop analytical methods with the Qualified Person, and drive improvements in documentation and lab processes within an international team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor- or Master-level degree in chemistry or a relevant science, with laboratory experience.
• Experience with laboratory analyses and accurate assessment and reporting of results.
• An analytical, solution-oriented and precise approach.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Good spoken and written knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to visit customers, participate in audits and inspections.
• Preferably experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory or production environment.
• Experience with SAP and batch information.
• Knowledge of method validation, Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Quality Control and Long-Term Stability.
• Experience with the European Pharmacopoeia, Certificates of Analysis, OOS investigations and technical dossiers.
• Experience as an internal or lead auditor.
• Experience with suppliers and service providers for laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily QC work, including analyses, equipment checks, results and Certificates of Analysis.
• Oversee correct testing and assessment of raw materials, packaging, intermediates, bulk and finished products.
• Develop, implement and validate analytical methods with the Qualified Person according to customer requirements, GMP and the European Pharmacopoeia.
• Manage qualification, calibration, maintenance and documentation of laboratory equipment.
• Lead, motivate and train laboratory staff.
• Manage QC documents and approve within your authority, including specifications, test methods, SOPs and OOS documentation.
• Serve as internal lead auditor and contribute to customer audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with Quality, Sales, European QC teams and customers.

Je zorgt dat analyses van gassen en grondstoffen nauwkeurig, tijdig en volgens GMP, het Quality Management System en laboratoriumprocedures worden uitgevoerd. Je combineert laboratoriumexpertise, operationele coördinatie en leiderschap. Samen met de Qualified Person, de Quality Control Manager Europe en interne teams verbeter je methoden, apparatuur, documentatie en kwaliteitsprocessen.

Als onze Laboratory Supervisor zal je:

• Het dagelijkse QC-werk plannen en coördineren, inclusief analyses, apparatuurcontroles, resultaten en Certificates of Analysis.
• Toezien op correcte tests en beoordeling van grondstoffen, verpakkingen, tussen-, bulk- en eindproducten.
• Met de Qualified Person analysemethoden ontwikkelen, implementeren en valideren volgens klantvereisten, GMP en de Europese Farmacopee.
• Kwalificatie, kalibratie, onderhoud en documentatie van laboratoriumapparatuur beheren.
• Laboratoriummedewerkers aansturen, motiveren en opleiden.
• QC-documenten beheren en binnen je bevoegdheid goedkeuren, waaronder specificaties, testmethoden, SOP’s en OOS-documentatie.
• Optreden als interne lead auditor en bijdragen aan klantenaudits en inspecties.
• Samenwerken met Quality, Sales, Europese QC-teams en klanten.

Als onze Laboratory Supervisor heb je:

• Een bachelor- of masteropleiding in chemie of een relevante wetenschap, aangevuld met passende laboratoriumervaring.
• Ervaring met laboratoriumanalyses en nauwkeurige beoordeling en rapportage van resultaten.
• Een analytische, oplossingsgerichte en nauwkeurige werkwijze.
• Sterke organisatorische en leidinggevende vaardigheden.
• Goede mondelinge en schriftelijke kennis van Nederlands, Frans en Engels.
• Praktische kennis van Microsoft Office.
• Bereidheid tot klantenbezoeken, audits en inspecties.
• Bij voorkeur Ervaring in een GMP-gereguleerde laboratorium- of productieomgeving.
• Ervaring met SAP en batchinformatie.
• Kennis van methodevalidatie, Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Quality Control en Long-Term Stability.
• Ervaring met de Europese Farmacopee, Certificates of Analysis, OOS-onderzoeken en technische dossiers.
• Ervaring als interne of lead auditor.
• Ervaring met leveranciers en serviceproviders voor laboratoriumapparatuur.
