Junior Project Manager (EU Affairs and Executive Training)

About the Executive Education, Training & Projects Office (TPO)

The Executive Education, Training & Projects Office (TPO) is responsible for developing the College of Europe’s professional training courses, high‑level events, international projects, and other professional services for the public and private sectors worldwide, for both the Bruges and Tirana campuses.

The different projects and activities vary in nature, duration and volume. With partner organisations and customers from all over the world, the TPO is strongly internationally oriented. This dynamic working environment may be very demanding but equally offers real satisfaction to people with an open mind, strong language knowledge, a broad sphere of interest and a proactive attitude.

The Role

The Junior Project Manager will work under the direct supervision of the TPO Co‑Directors, and in close cooperation with the rest of the team.

Responsibilities
  • Organise and monitor the implementation of projects and executive training courses onsite (in Bruges, Brussels, Tirana and worldwide), and online so that they run seamlessly and according to the highest quality standards.
  • Contribute to business development efforts:
    • Drafting of proposals for tailor‑made training solutions for prospective partners and clients.
    • Preparing tenders and project applications.
    • Developing the pools of experts, trainers, and partner organisations.
  • Draft marketing and communication items with the TPO Communication team.
  • Contribute to the development of internal tools and processes.
Your Profile

For this position, the College is looking for candidates with:

  • A postgraduate degree, preferably in EU affairs and/or project management.
  • Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in EU project management, training design and development, and business development.
  • Fluent spoken and written English; fluent spoken and written French is an asset; other languages are an asset.
  • Very good understanding of the EU, its institutions and policies.
  • Outstanding analytical and organisational skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment, with respect for deadlines, and to work autonomously and as a member of a team.
  • Result‑oriented, proactive and cooperative approach.
  • Open personality with strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills and a flexible and dynamic attitude.
  • Flexibility (working hours may include evenings and weekends) and a dynamic attitude.
