You will progressively take ownership of legal matters and act as a key local point of contact for business teams in Belgium and Luxembourg. The role offers broad exposure to a regulated, international life-sciences environment and a structured opportunity to develop into a trusted business partner.

Your role

Legalsupport

  • Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, using approved templates and escalating complex or high-risk matters as appropriate.
  • Provide clear, pragmatic and business-oriented legal advice to colleagues in Belgium and Luxembourg across a range of areas, including pharmaceutical and regulatory law, advertising law, commercial law, competition law, and contract law.
  • Support legal risk assessments for business projects, commercial initiatives and day-to-day operational questions.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of contract templates, guidance notes, internal policies and procedures.
  • Monitor relevant developments in Belgian, Luxembourg and EU law and help assess their impact on the business.
  • Prepare concise legal updates, newsletters and awareness materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Support periodic reviews of legal processes and identify opportunities to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Provide practical support on privacy and data protection matters (GDPR).
  • Coordinate matters with external counsel under the supervision of the Legal & Compliance Director in France and assist with cost and budget monitoring.

Compliance support

  • Support the implementation of Servier’s compliance programme across Belgium and Luxembourg, in close collaboration with the local Regulatory Affairs & Compliance Manager.
  • Promote a culture of integrity and ethics through clear processes, awareness initiatives and employee training.
  • Provide practical compliance guidance to business teams to help ensure that activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, industry codes and Servier policies and standards.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, monitoring activities, trend analysis and root cause analysis, and support the follow‑up of remediation actions.
  • Support conflict-of-interest assessments and third‑party due diligence.
  • Monitor relevant legislation, industry codes and internal standards, and help translate changes into practical actions.
  • Work closely with the Regional Compliance Officer and Global Compliance colleagues to implement group policies and tools locally.
Candidate Profile

Your profile

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in a law firm and/or an in‑house legal or compliance function.
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related sectors or, alternatively, a genuine interest in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector and in working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Professional fluency in English and French; Dutch is a strong asset but not a requirement.
  • A collaborative, solution‑oriented mindset, with curiosity and the ability to think pragmatically and creatively.
  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance.

What we offer

  • A broad early‑career role combining legal and compliance work in an international life‑sciences company.
  • The opportunity to participate in cross‑functional projects with varied business teams.
  • Progressive responsibility: you will build autonomy while receiving support on complex or higher‑risk matters.
  • Practical learning opportunities, training and tools to develop your legal and compliance skills.
