Job description

About your team

At Certis Belchim, our Legal Department may be small, but it plays a significant role throughout the organisation. Based at our Londerzeel office, the team currently consists of three legal Counsellors and one Paralegal — and this is where you come in!

We provide legal support in many areas, including contract management, corporate housekeeping, M&A transactions, legal advice and insurance matters. We work closely with all departments and local branches, providing hands‑on, expert guidance daily.

Collaboration is at the heart of how we operate. We’re a dedicated team with efficient communication practices, always ready to support one another and ensure everything runs smoothly. By joining us, you will become part of a team that values trust, teamwork and a practical approach to legal challenges.

About your role

As our new Paralegal, you will play a valuable part in supporting the Legal Department and contributing to Certis Belchim’s ongoing success. If you’re just launching your career, this position offers plenty of opportunities to learn, grow and make a real impact.

Here is a closer look at what you’ll be doing:

  • The legal formalities for our group companies will be managed by you, from the preparation of documentation and filing with the Belgian Crossroads Bank of Enterprises to the support given to internal restructuring efforts. You will also assist in organising board and shareholder meetings, ensuring that they run smoothly and compliance with our regulations.
  • Contract Management: The lifecycle of our contracts will be supported by you, with responsibilities including reviewing, drafting and filing. You will help to maintain our contract database and support the legal team in keeping everything well organised and accessible. Over time, you will become the go‑to person for ensuring that contract processes are efficient and compliant.
  • Legal Support Across the Business: You will serve as the legal team's primary liaison in responding to requests from various departments and affiliates. Your role will be both varied and meaningful, whether you’re conducting legal research or preparing documents or templates. You will gain exposure to a broad range of legal topics, and there will be opportunities to deepen your expertise over time.
About you

You are just starting out in your legal career, you are keen to contribute, grow, and enjoy the variety that comes with being part of our busy, collaborative team.

You are naturally organised and practical, and you enjoy handling a mix of tasks, from preparing legal documents and managing contracts to supporting colleagues with day‑to‑day legal queries. You’re good at setting priorities, staying calm under pressure, and bringing a positive attitude to everything you do.

What you need
  • A bachelor’s degree in legal practice or equivalent legal experience.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch and/or French are a real plus.
  • A proactive and structured approach and you enjoy getting stuck in and seeing things through.
  • Great attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.
  • A team player who enjoys working together and supporting others.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and stay focused when things get busy.
  • A flexible, can‑do mindset and you are happy to be a legal all‑rounder and take on a wide range of support and admin tasks.
  • Most importantly, you are enthusiastic, motivated, and ready to build a meaningful role where you can learn, contribute, and have some fun along the way.
Benefits and working conditions
  • Office‑based role with hybrid (60% office / 40% home office). Remote work will be facilitated; travel will be reimbursed.
  • Market‑based salary between €45,000 and €50,000 depending on experience, with a performance‑related bonus of 10% on top of gross salary.
  • Flexible working hours and work‑life balance support.
  • Access to our learning academy and frequent feedback sessions.
  • Culture that encourages growth within your role and within the company.
  • Supportive colleagues across the organization.
  • Opportunity to contribute to sustainable crop protection and transformation of the industry.
