Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Junior Credit Controller to support the Credit Control Team across the EMEA region. You will help ensure timely invoice payments and maintain accurate financial records, working with senior controllers, Customer Care and Sales to keep accounts healthy.

Qualifications

• Preferably a bachelor’s degree.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident, professional telephone manner.
• Ability to prioritize and manage a varied workload.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• A proactive, problem-solving attitude.
• Basic understanding of accounts receivable / credit control processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT literacy.
• Experience with ERP software desirable.

Responsibilities

• Chase outstanding customer debts by phone, email, and letter, in line with company credit policy.
• Allocate incoming payments accurately to customer accounts.
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate records of all collection activity in the credit control system.
• Follow up on queries and disputes relating to invoices, working closely with the Customer Care Claims team.
• Monitor customer accounts for overdue or delayed payment and take proactive action.
• Assist in preparing aged debt reports and credit control statistics.
• Support the wider team with reconciliations and account queries.
• Send monthly statements to customers.
• Escalate problem accounts to senior team members or management as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company credit control procedures.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, both internal and external.
