KPMG Belgium is seeking a Junior Auditor to join a dynamic Audit team. You will verify financial data, review assets, and participate in client stock counts while adhering to Belgian and ISA standards. This role offers exposure to diverse industries and international regulatory perspectives.

You will contribute to sustainability reporting, collaborate on cross-border projects, and be on-site with clients, building strong client relationships with a proactive, service-minded approach.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with focus on accounting, finance or sustainability is a plus.
• We seek candidates who take charge, deliver high-quality service, build relationships, give and receive feedback, foster innovation and belong.
• Must provide proof of a bachelor's degree with your documents and be fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsabilités

• Verify a variety of financial data, including cash balances and trade receivables.
• Review fixed assets and ensure correct valuation.
• Participate in client stock counts and observe inventory procedures.
• Prepare audit files and ensure compliance with Belgian and international accounting standards (ISA).
• Assist in prudential audits and understand regulatory landscape for banks and insurers.
• Support sustainability reporting and assurance (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI).
• Collaborate on domestic and international projects to grow expertise in corporate reporting and sustainability.
• Visit clients on-site and act as a primary contact throughout the year.

First year duties include (depending on your assignments):
