DLA Piper is seeking a Junior Associate (1–3 years) to join the Finance & Projects team in Belgium, focusing on leveraged and project finance, including real estate and energy projects. You will work on domestic and cross-border transactions, advancing from structuring and drafting to closing with mentorship in a supportive, international environment.

Qualifications

Belgian master's degree in law with a solid academic track record.
Qualified to practice as a lawyer in Belgium.
1–3 years of banking and finance experience, preferably leveraged or project finance exposure.
Native Dutch or French speaker with strong English; knowledge of the other language is an asset.
High work standards with strong service orientation.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Well organised, proactive, flexible and a team player.

Responsabilités

Draft and review banking and finance documentation including facility agreements and security documents.
Assist on leveraged and project finance transactions, including cross-border matters.
Work with partners and senior lawyers through structuring, drafting, negotiation and closing.
Conduct legal research and prepare tailored advice for clients.
Coordinate with foreign counsel and other DLA Piper offices on cross-border deals.
Manage closing processes and conditions precedent; assist post-closing follow-up.
