Contraste Europe is seeking a junior developer to join a generative AI project for a leading media organization. You will contribute to developing and deploying a secure conversational AI platform connected to internal knowledge bases, while collaborating with business teams to identify and prototype high-value use cases.

You will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of an AI solution, from discovery to deployment, in a supportive environment that emphasizes learning and initiative.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or engineering degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
• Initial professional experience or hands-on project work (internships, student projects) in AI/ML.
• Knowledge of Python is advantageous and helpful for rapid prototyping.
• Strong interest in generative AI, large language models, and knowledge-based AI systems.
• Familiarity with APIs, Git, and modern deployment environments.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and collaborate with business teams.

Design and deploy a generative AI platform connected to the organization’s internal knowledge

• Develop, configure, and deploy a conversational solution powered by large language models.
• Connect the platform to internal data sources and knowledge bases.
• Implement and improve retrieval and response-generation capabilities based on internal content.
• Integrate the solution with existing systems and APIs.
• Evaluate the quality, relevance, and reliability of generated responses.
• Work with business teams to identify and prioritize use cases.
• Build prototypes and support their transition into production.
• Document the solution and contribute to its operation and continuous improvement.
• Follow development best practices, with particular attention to security and data privacy.

• Familiarity with APIs, Git, and modern deployment environments.
• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Curious, proactive, autonomous, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your experience

Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, Docker, cloud environments, or CI/CD tools would be an advantage.
