Axis Group in Antwerp is seeking a Junior Marine Account Manager to develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities within the maritime insurance sector.

You will manage a client portfolio, visit clients regularly, and recommend insurance products tailored to their needs, while achieving sales targets in collaboration with teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, law, or insurance (or comparable experience).
• Maritime education program or specialization preferred.
• Experience in insurance, logistics, or maritime sectors helpful but not required.
• Fluent in Dutch; good command of French and English.
• Strong commercial acumen and communication skills.

As a Junior Marine Account Manager, you'll be responsible for developing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. You are responsible for a client portfolio and will continue to develop it. You are the primary point of contact for clients with whom you maintain excellent relationships. You organize and facilitate regular client visits and recommend the right insurance products to our clients based on their needs. As an Account Manager, you are responsible for achieving your sales targets and providing effective follow-up to your clients, in collaboration with your colleagues.

The ideal candidate:

• holds at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as economics, law, or insurance (or has comparable experience);
• has preferably completed a maritime education program or specialization;
• has some experience in the insurance, logistics, or maritime sectors, though this is not required;
• is fluent in Dutch and has a good command of both French and English;
• can work independently but also collaborates effectively as part of a team;
• has strong commercial acumen and is an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a results-oriented attitude;
• has a technical interest in insurance and the maritime and logistics sectors;
• is familiar with MS Office 365 and is proficient in using it.
