Solis Talents is seeking a Junior Accountant in Sint-Niklaas to take ownership of the full accounting cycle, ensuring financial health and compliance while providing management with accurate information for decisions.

You will manage invoices, VAT filings, closings, and cash flow, and liaise with external accountants. A Bachelor in Accounting/Finance and at least 1 year of relevant experience are required, with Dutch & French fluency.

• Fluent in Dutch and French (B1/B2).

Responsabilités

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations: invoices, bank statements, credit notes, credit card transactions.
• Follow-up on unpaid invoices (AR/Credit Control).
• Process supplier payments and VAT declarations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings; reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Produce financial reports and KPIs for management; liaise with external accountants and auditors.

For this international, privately-owned company, we are looking for a trilingual Accountant to join the team and take ownership of day-to-day financial and accounting operations.

The company is active in more than 10 EU countries and it has become one of the largest players in its sector within only 15 years.

The job is based in Sint-Niklaas.

Junior Accountant - The Role

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for the full accounting cycle and will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the company. You will work closely with management, providing accurate financial information to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all day-to-day accounting operations: book invoices (purchase, sales), bank statements, credit notes, credit card transactions
• Follow-up of unpaid invoices (AR/Credit Control)
• Execute payments to suppliers
• Prepare and submit VAT declarations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
• Prepare financial reports and KPIs for management
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax authorities as needed
• A degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance (Bachelor's degree, "Graduaat Boekhouding" or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar accounting/finance role, preferably in an accounting firm or in a SME
• Fluent level of both Dutch and French (at least B1/B2)
• Reliable, discreet, and comfortable working with confidential financial data
