Brigadais seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to learn and contribute to accurate daily bookkeeping, bank postings, and supplier/client account follow-ups in a dynamic finance team in Belgium. You will assist month-end closings and VAT filings while growing your skills and processes.
The role emphasizes organization, reliability, and clear communication in Dutch and English, with hybrid work options from Brussels or Ghent and some home-based flexibility.
We're on the hunt for a Junior Accountant who's eager to learn and takes pride in getting things right - even the smallest details. You'll make sure the numbers add up (quite literally), while learning from an experienced finance team that's happy to help you grow.
As our Junior Accountant, you'll support our day-to-day financial admin and make sure our financial reporting is accurate, complete and up to date, so the finance team can do its best work. More specifically, you'll take care of ... the daily bookkeeping: you'll process purchase and sales invoices, post bank transactions, help prepare payments and follow up supplier and client accounts. closing and reporting support: you'll contribute to month-, quarter- and year-end closings, and assist with audits, VAT filings and other administrative tasks. follow-up: you'll keep our financial records organised, flag discrepancies and relentlessly chase missing information. Collaboration and optimisation: throughout, you'll work closely with your colleagues in the finance and other departments, and help improve our ways of working. Think new systems, digitalisation, and so on.
Our ideal Junior Accountant has a bachelors degree in accounting, tax or finance. Some relevant experience is a plus, but it's definitely not a must. Don't have the degree but already know your way around bookkeeping? We'd love to hear from you too.
A competitive salary and benefits package, including six additional days of annual leave, a mobile phone subscription, meal and eco vouchers, group insurance, and a public transport pass or bicycle allowance.
The flexibility to work from our offices in Brussels or Ghent, too, and partly from home.
The chance to learn on the job, and to grow into a broader role as you gain more experience.
A fantastic atmosphere, plenty of trust in your abilities, and opportunities to take initiative.
That's what you get when joining a Great Place to Work.
A place in a close-knit team that's happy to share what they know, plus exposure to modern tools and digital ways of working.
A dynamic, no-nonsense culture where you're encouraged to think for yourself.
