Vivid Resourcing seeks a Java Engineer to join a fintech scale-up on a payroll basis. You will design, develop, and maintain the backend architecture using Java, collaborating with a cross-functional team from architecture to delivery.

Work will include code quality, CI/CD, and participating in architectural discussions. You will be onsite in Ghent twice a week in a flexible hybrid setup, with up to 5k gross monthly pay.

Qualifications

• Solid experience designing and developing backend systems in Java/Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
• Good grasp of REST APIs and modern development practices.

About The Company

We are working with an innovative Scale-Up within the Fintech domain, who have grown to two offices globally in the last few years, who are looking for an experienced Java Engineer to join their team on a payroll basis

The Role

As a Java Engineer, you’ll join their talented, cross-functional development team working on their innovative fintech platform from architecture to delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with the team and other stakeholders.

You’ll spend your time:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining the backend architecture using Java on the backend and .
• Ensuring code quality through best practices, testing, and code reviews.
• Contributing to architectural discussions and helping shape the technical direction of the products

About You

You’re a passionate engineer who enjoys solving complex problems with clean, maintainable code. You’re curious, proactive, and eager to grow — not just technically, but into a future Lead Developer.

You’ll bring:

• Solid experience with Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
• Bonus: Experience within C#, Kubernetes and Cloud Development
• A good understanding of modern development practices (CI/CD, containerization, REST APIs, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to coach and support others.
• Availability to work onsite in Ghent twice a week.
