Netcompany Belgium is seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer to join our team delivering digital solutions for EU institutions and international projects. You will design, develop, deploy, and maintain modern web applications across the full stack, ensuring security, performance, and compliance with EU standards, using Java, Spring Boot, and modern frontend technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or related field with at least 6 years of full‑stack software experience.
• Strong Java development skills including Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB; design and query optimization.
• Experience with AWS or Azure and deploying cloud‑native applications.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience, plus CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT).
• Excellent teamwork and professional English communication.

Job Description

So, what are the main responsibilities of a Java Full Stack Developer in Netcompany?

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to support digital solutions and application development initiatives. The successful consultant will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of modern web applications, working across the full technology stack while ensuring scalability, security, performance, and compliance with EU Institution standards.

As a Java Full Stack Developer, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications across front‑end and back‑end layers.
• Develop front‑end architectures, user interfaces, and user interactions using modern web technologies.
• Implement business logic, RESTful APIs, and server‑side components using Java‑based technologies.
• Design and optimize relational and non‑relational database solutions, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Apply secure development practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, logging, and monitoring.

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field and minimum 6 years of professional experience as a Full‑stack Software Engineer or in a similar software development role.
• Strong expertise in Java development, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST API implementation.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and non‑relational databases (MongoDB), including schema design and query optimisation.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure and deployment of cloud‑native applications.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Knowledge of software security best practices, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and secure application development principles.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills in multicultural environments.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
