About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Application Services Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex Business Support Systems (BSS) initiatives within a multinational telecommunications environment. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end delivery across the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical solutions, delivery teams, and external stakeholders.

This role requires strong expertise in IT project delivery, stakeholder management, team leadership, governance, and execution in a fast-paced, international environment. English is the working language for all project communications, reporting, and collaboration.

Your role:

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of IT projects related to TELCO BSS domains, including CRM, order management, product catalog, billing, charging, customer care, and integration platforms.
• Manage projects throughout all delivery phases:
• Requirements and solution design
• Development and configuration
• System and integration testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Hypercare and project closure
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones, dependencies, resources, budgets, and risks.
• Maintain detailed project plans and ensure effective tracking of tasks, deliverables, milestones, actions, issues, risks, and decisions.
• Provide regular project status updates, dashboards, and executive reporting, highlighting progress, key achievements, risks, blockers, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Business, Architecture, Development, QA, Operations, DevOps, Security, Infrastructure, Integration, Vendors, and external partners.
• Manage stakeholders across different departments, geographies, and organisational levels, ensuring clear communication, alignment, commitment, and timely decision-making.
• Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, project meetings, workshops, and status reviews.
• Lead and motivate project team members, fostering accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure that design, development, testing, and deployment activities comply with agreed quality standards, delivery processes, technical architecture, security requirements, and operational readiness criteria.
• Support continuous improvement of project management practices, reporting standards, delivery methodologies, and lessons learned.

Your profile:

• More than 10 years of professional experience in IT Project Management, preferably within large-scale, multinational environments.
• Proven experience delivering complex IT transformation, implementation, integration, or migration projects in the telecommunications sector.
• Strong knowledge of TELCO BSS ecosystems, such as CRM, billing, charging, order management, customer management, product catalog, mediation, and related integration layers.
• Demonstrated experience managing full project lifecycles, from design through development, testing, UAT, production deployment, and hypercare.
• Extensive experience in stakeholder management across business and technical teams, including senior management and executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of risk management, change control, project governance, resource planning, and budget tracking.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and maintain focus on delivery outcomes.

Language Requirements

• Fluent English is mandatory and will be the primary working language.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to prepare project documentation, executive reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
• Additional languages are considered an advantage.

Desired Qualifications

• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent.
• Experience working with major BSS platforms or vendors, such as Amdocs, Netcracker, Oracle Communications, Salesforce, Ericsson, Nokia, or similar.
• Experience in cloud transformation, API-led integration, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and production support models.
