Van de Velde Packaging Group is seeking an IT Operations & Support Manager to ensure a stable, secure, high-performing IT environment across all sites. You will lead the IT Operations & Support function and drive harmonization of the local IT landscape into a unified operating model.

You will manage external providers, oversee infrastructure and end-user services, strengthen cybersecurity, and champion standardization and continual improvement across the group to enable international growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 8–10 years in IT operations, infrastructure or ITSM.
• International multi-site experience.
• Experience managing external IT service providers and outsourcing.
• Strong governance, SLA and vendor management background.
• Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune and Entra ID experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

About the Role

The IT Operations & Support Manager is responsible for ensuring a stable, secure, and high‑performing IT-environment for all employees across the Van de Velde Packaging Group.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the entire IT Operations & Support domain and will play a key role in the transition from a fragmented local IT‑landscape to a harmonized and future‑oriented IT operating model.

Key Responsibilities

As IT Operations & Support Manager, you will play a key role in transforming a fragmented IT landscape into a harmonized, future‑ready operating model. You will drive operational excellence, strengthen cybersecurity foundations, and support the company's international growth through modern and reliable IT services.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the IT Operations & Support function across the Van de Velde Packaging Group.
• Manage strategic IT service providers and ensure delivery against agreed SLAs, KPIs, and service standards.
• Ensure the stability, security, performance, and availability of the company's IT infrastructure and end‑user services.
• Drive the standardization and continuous improvement of IT operations, infrastructure, support processes, and governance across all sites.
• Lead infrastructure, workplace, cloud, cybersecurity, and operational improvement projects from planning through execution.
• Act as PMO and project lead for key IT transformation initiatives, coordinating internal stakeholders, external partners, budgets, timelines, and risks.
• Support the transition towards a centralized, cloud‑first IT operating model and the harmonization of global IT standards.
• Oversee endpoint management, network operations, business continuity, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Ensure a high‑quality end‑user experience through efficient support services and continuous service improvement.
• Act as the key link between business stakeholders, local sites, and IT partners to deliver reliable, scalable, and future‑proof IT solutions.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• 8–10 years of experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure, or IT Service Management.
• Proven experience in an international multi‑site environment.
• Strong broad‑based knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations.
• Experience managing external IT service providers and outsourcing partners.
• Solid background in IT governance, SLA management, and vendor management.
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with complex, fragmented, or post‑acquisition IT landscapes is highly valued.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Entra ID is a plus.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
• Strong ownership mindset with a high sense of accountability.
• Able to bridge the gap between IT and business stakeholders.
• Pragmatic and hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
• Strong communicator who can translate technical topics into clear business impact.
• Comfortable operating in environments with varying levels of IT maturity.
• Capable of combining strategic thinking with operational execution.
• Skilled at building trust and strong relationships across local and international sites.
