Sander in Belgium is seeking an IT Manager to own both people and technology within a highly regulated environment. You’ll lead the internal Support team and take a hands-on role in IT projects, collaborating with external partners and business to deliver practical IT solutions.

You will drive DORA-related documentation, maintain strong relationships with external providers, and work with other technology teams to continuously improve the IT landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT infrastructure, support or IT management with a strong technical foundation.
• Fluent in English and Dutch with ability to communicate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Proven track record leading or coordinating an IT/support team and driving projects.

Our partner is a national firm operating in a highly regulated environment. As their IT landscape continues to evolve, they are looking for an IT Manager who can take ownership of both the people and the technology behind it.

This is not a role where you simply manage from the sidelines. You’ll be equally comfortable leading the Support team, getting hands-on with IT projects, working with external partners and sitting down with the business to turn their needs into practical IT solutions.

IT Manager - The Role

• Lead & develop the internal Support team, providing guidance while staying involved in day-to-day IT operations.
• Take a hands-on role in IT projects, contributing to technical implementation rather than only coordinating them.
• Manage the relationship with an external infrastructure partner, ensuring smooth collaboration and clear ownership.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into realistic IT solutions.
• Take ownership of DORA-related documentation, processes and requirements, helping keep the IT environment aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate with other technology teams to deliver projects and continuously improve the IT environment.

IT Manager - The Profile

• Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, support or IT management, with a strong technical foundation.
• You speak fluently English and Dutch.
• Previous experience leading or coordinating an IT/support team.
• A genuinely hands-on mindset and the ability to understand technical topics in depth.
• Comfortable communicating with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience working with external IT providers and managing technology partnerships.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to ownership and problem-solving.
