Econocom Belgium is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable IT infrastructures across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will act as a technical reference on systems, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and networking while supporting project delivery and continuous improvement.

The role suits professionals with 3–5 years in IT infrastructure, solid Windows and Linux knowledge, cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and strong scripting

• Broad technical knowledge across Windows Server and Linux.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or equivalent.

• Configure and monitor network infrastructure (routing, switching, VPN, firewall).

To support our growth and strategic digital projects, we are looking for a versatile and experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join our team.

Your Role

As an IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer, you will contribute to the architecture, implementation, and management of secure, scalable IT infrastructures. You will act as a technical reference point on system engineering, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and network technologies while supporting project delivery and continuous improvement efforts.

This is a cross-functional role, ideal for profiles such as: System Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Cybersecurity Engineer, Linux/Windows Engineer, Network Engineer, Solution Architect, or Infrastructure Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support infrastructure solutions (on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments).
• Manage Windows and Linux systems across development, staging, and production.
• Configure and monitor network infrastructure (routing, switching, VPN, firewall).
• Implement cybersecurity practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and client teams to deliver infrastructure projects (migrations, rollouts, integrations).
• Document solutions and contribute to IT architecture and security strategy.
• Ensure service reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of infrastructure components.

Your Profile

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in IT infrastructure roles.
• Broad technical knowledge across:Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Cloud: AWS, Azure, or equivalent (certification is a plus).
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls.
• Security: Endpoint protection, identity/access management, patching, SIEM tools.
• Familiar with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Git.
• Experience in leading or contributing to IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Fluent in French and Dutch (English is a plus).

Nice to Have

• Certifications: AWS/Azure Associate, CCNA, Microsoft Certified, CompTIA Security+, ITIL, PMP.
• Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
• DevOps or automation background.
